Weight Awareness may collect personal information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. Weight Awareness may also collect demographic information, such as your ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites.
If you choose to sign up for a complimentary or paid subscription service we may collect additional personal information, including your credit card number and billing address, in order to create a billing account. All of the registration information you provide will be stored by Weight Awareness. Some Weight Awareness services, such as Weight Awareness Community, chat and message boards, may request that you create a social nickname, which is the name you will be known by to others in those public places. You may select a different social nickname at any time. You may also choose to create an optional public profile, containing information about yourself - such as your hobbies and interests.
Any information you choose to enter in your public profile will be visible to other users of Weight Awareness; and when you interact with other users, a link to your public profile may be displayed. Please keep in mind that if you disclose personal information through Weight Awareness Chats, or other public online forums, this information may be collected and used by others. Weight Awareness cautions you against providing personal information to strangers online, which they may use for illegal or harmful purposes.
Weight Awareness collects two types of information: personally identifiable information and non-personally identifiable information. We collect information (both Personally Identifiable Information and Non Personally Identifiable Information) from you in different manners and at different places and times on Weight Awareness, such as when you request a free diet profile, register to receive Weight Awareness News and register for membership to our services. We also may collect information from you in connection with, or through, other products we may make available on Weight Awareness that appear from time-to-time.
Personally identifiable information is information that identifies you or can be used to identify or contact you (‘Personally Identifiable Information'). Personally Identifiable Information may include your name, street address (including city, state and zip code), telephone number, birth date (primarily for eligibility purposes) and billing and credit card information.
We may request Personally Identifiable Information from you when you register on as a member for our products and services or to purchase products from our online store. We only collect Personally Identifiable Information that you voluntarily submit to us. Should you not desire for us to not, share, license, trade or rent your Personally Identifiable Information please notify us as privacy@weightawareness.com.
You do not have to provide us with any Personally Identifiable Information to visit Weight Awareness. However, if you wish to subscribe for membership to our service or purchase products in our store, you will be required to provide Personally Identifiable Information to us. If you choose to withhold requested information, you will not be able to join our service or purchase goods and services in our store.
When you become a registered user of Weight Awareness, subscribe to one of our newsletters, or make a purchase of a product through our store, we collect information other information, such as demographic information (e.g. age or gender), health information (e.g. current weight and height), and email address ("Non-Personally Identifiable Information").
Non-Personally Identifiable Information may also include your IP address, browser type, domain name, and other anonymous statistical data involving the use of Weight Awareness. Non-Personally Identifiable Information is used to help us better understand who you are, what your needs are and to improve and market our services and products on the Site.
Weight Awareness keeps track of the pages our customers visit within Weight Awareness, in order to determine what Weight Awareness pages and services are the most popular. Weight Awareness may also collect certain information about your computer hardware and software. This information may include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses.
Certain Weight Awareness services may be co-branded and offered in conjunction with another company. If you register for or use such services, both Weight Awareness and the other company may receive information collected in conjunction with the co-branded services.
