Once a previously obese person has decided that the redundant skin folds are disturbing and distressing, the next step is to determine which areas are amenable to plastic surgery and require plastic surgical attention. After the person has prioritized the areas of concern, the next step towards correcting the skin fold problem is the timing sequence of the plastic surgery operations. As with many significant surgeries, there will be scars, but most - if not all - previously morbid obese people, will gladly exchange a scar for the removal of the redundant skin and fat.
